A road block

All this talk about subconscious hell makes me realize...

The 'real' world is way more cruel than any monster I have dreamed of. In fact, these monsters seem like a grotesque caricature of people in the 'real' world... what is real, anyway, when everything is clearly relative to the subjective mind of humans...?

Start Packing-the escape route

Traveling to the darkest, most dangerous parts of your subconscious will require utmost control and complete preparation... neither which I expect to have. I can prepare as much as I can and still be blindsided by a trick of the light or a shift in gravity... So it's best if you just have the basest of basics...and never forget them...

Item #1: The Escape Route
It has been my policy NEVER to enter anything suspicious without knowing how to get out of it. So naturally, a handy dandy escape route is a must in mapping my nightmares. But this item is not something I can take out of my backpack and throw at a wall where a door will appear. It takes many forms and sometimes won't be on myself but somewhere in the dream... Most of the time, to activate it means a great deal of energy loss. I know what you're probably thinking, dreaming doesn't require energy. It's chemicals in your body acting on your mind. And though that is true, I can't explain why it drains me so much. I'll elaborate in awhile...or not... my posts are usually like *dozes off*

The Saviour
This form doesn't require energy on my part. This is my most and least favorite escape route for obvious reasons.
advantages: I don't need to spend any energy; I get to meet new people. Atleast, I'm assuming they're new, a part of me feels otherwise. And besides, many of them call me a common name that has no english equivalent...the most that I can get translate it to is 'leader' but in a form of endearment as well.
Not all Saviour forms are strangers (knights?). Some of them take the form of animals... The best thing about them is they're the SUREST way out.
disadvantages: I don't get to choose when or where they appear. Many times, I plan on going headlong to the climax of the nightmare only to bump into one of these people who drag me away. Sometimes the truth will be just beyond the door: the core of the nightmare, how i can control it...or at least i'll know why it's there. And then they, literally, carry me away.

The most memorable instance: while I was being chased in a fake school, four guys served as my way out when people were chasing me. They would act as decoys, as diversions...they seem to know the secrets in the world which is weird because all the others don't. As far as I could figure, characters in the dream will have roles. THey were suppose to be the aloof popular kids. So when they broke their roles, I was speechless. And the way they navigated through the maze was fascinating ..they knew what I could see but I don't know what they could see. It seems like they were the dreamers and I was the character in a dream. (And that may be the case, I'm not sure yet). Then, before they ended the dream (which I was completely against to), one lifted me and place me on his bed. All four looked down on me knowingly. "Time to close your eyes, don't you think?" one asked me as he placed his hands on my eyelids motioning for me to close my eyes. I was shocked...Why would I be shocked that they're making me close my eyes? Well...

Close Your Eyes
Do you close your eyes in dreams? Yes, you say? Are you sure?
I thought I was sure when I answered that, too...then I realized, as I concentrated on having lucid dreams only, that not once did I close my eyes. There is an illusion of blinking...sudden shifts of scenery, rain...but I never really did...

So one time, I tried closing my eyes while in a lucid dream... and DAMN! It was freaking hard, and it would be in the next few dreams when I understood why.
Apparently, when I closed my eyes on a dream, I'm opening them in the 'real' world. It was hard because, your eyes are still heavy, you need sleep, and there was really no reason to open them. So there, waking up is a way of escaping....duh

anima/animus - My Bro
Wow, this post is long....so I'll just place on more form... special thanks to my bro who do the craziest things to get me out of trouble...including being killed so that I would cry myself awake (...yes, crying is one form of escape), disappearing so I'd look for him and find an 'EXIT' Door instead and even contriving with gruesome ladies stirring a pot of stew...

well, so much for packing... item#1, check...wait, bro, where are you now?!
